Marla specializes in a type of therapy called Internal Family Systems Therapy which uses families of origin as a backdrop for understanding the present. If that therapeutic approach does not appear to be appropriate for a client, Marla uses other well-established and researched therapies that better meet a client’s needs.

Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationships. The goal is always to help clients achieve balance in their lives. Marla also has a special interest in working with adults with Asperger’s syndrome and other medical issues, as well as grief and loss.

In addition to her private practice, Marla works with her husband, Leonard Chalnick, CPA, J.D., MS, co-founders of Stonebridge Connection (www.stonebridgeconnection.com) serving family businesses. As a husband and wife team, they have combined their background and skills to help business families create the family harmony they need to support the business prosperity they value.
